How Limegreen helps clients maximize thought leadership impact
Writing great thought leadership content isn’t just about having a strong point of view and well-written copy. It’s about making our clients part of the conversations shaping their industry ‒ joining the dialogue but also standing out with fresh insights and a clear stance.
The mistake many people make is that they write a great article, post it once on LinkedIn ‒ and that’s it.
If you’ve ever spoken to a Limey, you’ll know that’s not how we do things. Our philosophy is simple: to make every piece of content work as hard as it possibly can for our clients.
That means reinforcing the message consistently so it reaches as many industry voices, journalists and decision makers as possible. The result? Our clients become respected and recognised as strong voices in their sector.
Here are five ways we help make that happen:
1. The original post ‒ and then some
We never hit publish and walk away. We encourage the author to tag relevant people and companies and invite their colleagues to amplify it too. Engagement is also important ‒ responding to comments, linking back to the piece in other posts and keeping the conversation going. We also offer LinkedIn training to help clients get the most out of their posts.
2. Follow-up posts
Pretty much every article has more than one great post in it. We usually create four or five ‘bite-sized’ follow-up posts that highlight key points and pose questions to make readers even more likely to engage. This helps build a mini campaign around the original post that reinforces the core message in punchy, easy to digest ways.
3. Carousel content
To boost visibility and engagement, we often repurpose those follow-up posts into LinkedIn carousels. Starting with a bold question and answering it visually across the slides helps grab attention and drive interaction.
4. Media articles
We go the other way too. A LinkedIn post is usually under 800 words, but it can be a great starting point for a longer article to pitch to target media. We’ll often take the core idea and build on it ‒ adding data or case studies or diving deeper into a trend that’s relevant to that outlet. It’s quicker than starting from scratch and helps keep the client’s voice and messaging consistent across channels.
5. Newsletter-ready nuggets
A great quote or insight from a LinkedIn piece can also feed into the client’s own newsletter, giving it a second life and an audience beyond social media. It’s a quick win that builds visibility and authority over time. Don’t forget it could also be relevant for internal audiences, so you might be able to reshape for your employee newsletter or social channels.
At Limegreen, we’re all about crafting compelling stories ‒ but just as importantly, we know how to make them work hard across all your channels. By building campaigns around a single idea and spreading it across platforms, we help our clients stay visible, relevant and consistent in the conversations that matter to their industry.
If you’re looking for ways to get more mileage out of your content and make sure your message lands with the right people, we’d love to help. Drop us a line at twist@limegreencommunications.com.
